Have you ever aspired to shoot street photography but dared not venture forth for fear of being rejected, chased by authorities, fear of getting mugged or just plain shy to approach a total stranger? Urban Soul is ready to teach you - not only the basics of photography - but how to shoot street & documentary photography the right way.
Street photography is one of the more challenging photography genres, where one must immerse one’s self to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The need to go close is imperative to your success because, after all, you are there to capture a slice of their lives. To tell your own story through photographs is easy, to tell the story of a stranger… that’s the hard part.
Urban Soul is an interactive workshop that includes an actual photo shoot in the street, with reviews and group discussions made at the end of the day. Insightful tips, ethics, and helpful techniques will be discussed in-depth to help participants improve their skills and attitude in capturing the raw, visceral reality of the street.
We encourage photography beginners and aspiring street photographers to join! This workshop is designed basically for you.
